Good to know

+Fifteen winners are funded, three in each of five thematic areas, so there are more ways in than a single grand prize.
+Free to enter, and run by a registered Spanish nonprofit foundation.
+Aimed at seed stage, so you need a working prototype rather than a finished company.
+You pitch to a jury, which is useful practice whether or not you win.

Worth checking yourself

!The €100,000 headline is the total pool across all fifteen winners. The most any one person receives is €10,000, then €6,000, then €4,000 within each area.
!The deadline is 12:00 midday Brussels time on 17 September, not the end of the day.
!Spanish tax is withheld from the prize: 19 percent for EU residents and 24 percent for everyone else.
!You must be a woman aged 18 or over who founded or co-founded the project, and it needs a minimum viable product already built.
