CAGIS Volunteers (18+) are science, technology, trades, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professionals, parents, teachers, apprentices, post-secondary students, and other interested members of the community of all genders. They help in a number of ways, both at in-person events or through our Virtual program. Roles include: - Helping brainstorm, organize, and plan STEM events - Supervising and assisting at in‑person events - Running STEM outreach activities at special events - Hosting events in areas of expertise (e.g., physics of skating, chemistry demos) - Leading or supporting CAGIS Virtual sessions Additional pathways: - STEM Expert Database: consulted for panels, newsletters, or outreach features - Event Hosts: provide behind‑the‑scenes STEM experiences at workplaces or community venues - Chapter Leaders: start or coordinate local CAGIS chapters with mentorship and training provided - Teen Ambassadors (13–18): competitive program for Canadian female and gender‑diverse teens interested in STEM (applications reopen summer 2026)
