About this opportunity

The Swedish Institute, the Swedish government agency that runs Sweden's international scholarships, funds women from ten countries in Africa and Asia to take a one or two year STEM master's degree in Sweden. It is aimed at women who already have work and leadership experience and want to use science, technology, engineering or maths to drive change at home. Applying takes two steps: first a master's application through University Admissions in Sweden, then the scholarship application to SI.

What you get:

Full tuition, paid by SI directly to your Swedish university each semester
A monthly allowance of SEK 12,000 for living costs throughout your studies
A one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 (not paid if you already live in Sweden)
Membership of the SI Network for Global Professionals while you study
Membership of the Sweden Alumni Network after the scholarship ends

What you'll do:

Study full time on a one or two year English-taught STEM master's programme at a Swedish university, starting August 2027
Take part in the SI Network for Global Professionals, a career and leadership network for scholars in Sweden
