Students in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels can apply for a merit-based scholarship through the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program. Awards are available to graduate students for all disciplines of academic study at participating schools in Ontario. Each award is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario (two thirds) and the school offering the award (one third). Duration: Minimum 1 academic year (2 to 3 terms), maximum 2 years for Master’s, 4 years for PhD Lifetime Limit: 6 academic years total across all OGS awards Participating Universities: - University of Toronto - University of Waterloo - McMaster University - Queen’s University - Western University - York University - Carleton University - University of Ottawa - Brock, Guelph, Lakehead, Laurentian, Nipissing, OCAD, Ontario Tech, Trent, Windsor, Wilfrid Laurier Application Process: - Apply directly through the Graduate Studies Office of your chosen university - Each school sets its own deadlines (usually October, January) - You must submit separate applications if applying to multiple universities
