Excellent students enrolled in Undergraduate or Master's programs in universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational schools in Japan or overseas, or recent graduates of such institutions. Currently enrolled students must have approval from their home institution. Academic background should be appropriate to desired host unit(s) at OIST. Targets candidates seeking research experience and potential entry into OIST's PhD Program. Graduate School-funded internships are highly competitive and awarded to outstanding applicants in the final two years of their studies or recent graduates within one year of the deadline. Interns from Japanese institutions must provide their own insurance.
