Who can apply

Apply as a group, not as an individual. A minimum of two people is required.
Feminist tech must be central to your activism, advocacy or approach to change.
Led by women understood in all their diversity, trans, cis, non binary, young, older and disabled, meaning a majority holding decision making positions.
Based in the Larger Majority World: West, Central, East and Southern Africa; Southeast, South and East Asia; West Asia and North Africa and Arabic speaking countries; Latin America; the Caribbean; the Pacific Islands; Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Indigenous and migrant communities based anywhere in the world are eligible, including inside the Global North.
Legal registration is not required. Registered organisations, formally organised groups, unregistered collectives and online only initiatives are all welcome.
Applications above USD 10,000 need a registered organisation to act as fiscal sponsor if the grant is awarded. The sponsor does not have to be in place at application stage.
Feminist focused or women led programmes inside a larger human rights or digital rights organisation are eligible.
Applications are accepted in English only. Every application is read knowing English is not the applicant's first language.
One application per initiative, collective, group or organisation.
Not eligible: for profit technology providers without a movement organising connection, groups structurally dependent on political parties or religious institutions, initiatives led by cis heterosexual men, academic research detached from movements, and current Seed, Grow and Sustain grantee partners.
