NASA offers two major internship programs: OSTEM Internships and Pathways Internships. OSTEM provides paid, short-term opportunities for college students to work on real NASA projects, building technical and professional skills with NASA mentors. Sessions run 10 weeks in summer and 15 weeks in fall and spring. Pathways offers paid internships that serve as direct pipelines to full-time NASA employment upon graduation, with minimum 12-week commitments and rotations through multiple assignments. Both programs welcome STEM and non-STEM majors and contribute to NASA's mission in science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration.
