Who can apply

  • At least two Project Leads aged 15 to 24. Solo applications are not eligible
  • You do not have to be a City of Miami resident, but the project must be located inside city limits. Not Miami-Dade County, and not the broader metro area
  • You count as age eligible if you are 15 to 24 at any point in the programme period of August 24, 2026 to March 31, 2027. If you are 14 and turn 15 before March 31, 2027 you can still be a Project Lead, and if you are 24 and turn 25 after October 2, 2026 you can too
  • A Project Sponsor is required. It must be a legally recognised entity with its own organisational bank account: a registered nonprofit, youth club or group, school, university, museum or community organisation
  • Private businesses, political parties and the city office running the programme cannot serve as Project Sponsors
