About this opportunity

The Mastercard Foundation Associates Program, run in West Africa by the job platform Jobberman, places recent graduates in real organisations for a 12-month paid work placement. Cohort 2 is recruiting across Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and The Gambia, and Associates are trained before they are matched with an employer in a role that fits their skills and career interests.

What you get:

A 12-month paid work placement inside a real organisation
A monthly stipend for the whole placement. Jobberman's application guide puts it at $230 gross, paid in local currency
Prep2Soar, a professional readiness training programme, before your placement begins
Mentorship and ongoing support from the programme team throughout the placement
Access to a network of young professionals and employer partners across five African countries

What you'll do:

Complete the Program Application to confirm you are eligible
Apply for one or more open roles on the programme's Career Site with a CV tailored to each role
If shortlisted, complete Prep2Soar training, then employer matching and final interviews
Work full time for 12 months on real projects with a host employer

Who can apply

Aged 18 to 34 (the application form says 34; Jobberman's page says 18 to 35)
Hold at least a diploma or first degree
0 to 2 years of work experience
Currently unemployed or underemployed
Resident in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone or The Gambia, and legally eligible to work in the country where the job is based
Completed, or exempted from, your country's mandatory national service where it applies (for example NYSC)
Documents: a government-issued ID showing your date of birth, your national service certificate or exemption letter, and a CV
