The Movement Theatre Company, an Off-Broadway company based in Harlem, runs this commission with The Black List, the platform that has surveyed Hollywood's most-liked unproduced screenplays since 2005. It pays one BIPOC artist to write a brand new work for the stage, then spends a year developing it with them.
