Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University pays for up to three years of graduate study at Stanford, covering tuition, a living stipend and one return trip to Stanford each year, for recent graduates and final-year students from any country. Scholars can take almost any full-time Stanford graduate degree, from a master's or MBA to a JD, MD or PhD, and join a leadership programme alongside a cohort of up to 100 new scholars a year. Who can apply

Open to citizens and residents of all countries, with no restriction on age, university, field of study or career aspiration
First bachelor's degree, or its international equivalent from a university of recognised standing, earned in January 2020 or later; military service extends this to January 2018 or later
Current university students qualify if they will earn their first degree by September 2027
A later graduate degree does not reset the window: a first degree earned in 2019 or earlier makes you ineligible
You must also apply to, be admitted to, and enrol full time in a Stanford graduate degree programme starting in 2027, such as a DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, MS or PhD; Knight-Hennessy cannot admit you to Stanford
Not eligible: the Honors Cooperative Program, the Master of Liberal Arts, the JSD and MLS law degrees, coterminal degrees, and current Stanford PhD students adding an MA or MS in their own discipline
