The Harpswell Foundation runs two residential leadership centres in Phnom Penh for Cambodian women at university. Leadership Residents are international women who live in those centres for four to eight months, teaching, tutoring and mentoring the students alongside them. Harpswell covers room, board and travel insurance and pays a monthly stipend, and residents pay for their own flights to and from Cambodia. **What you get:** - A monthly stipend of $330 USD for Leadership Residents, or $420 USD for the Leadership Resident Fellow - Full room and board at one of Harpswell's two leadership centres in Phnom Penh - Travel insurance for the residency - A homestay in the provinces with a Harpswell student and her family - Membership of the Harpswell alumnae network, with ongoing virtual mentorship and expert-led learning sessions **What you'll do:** - Teach Harpswell's core curriculum - Facilitate twice-weekly critical thinking discussions on current events - Tutor students in English language skills - Host consistent office hours and support student leadership development - Plan cultural activities for students and alumnae outside the leadership centres - Live in the leadership centres alongside the students and alumnae for the full term - As Leadership Resident Fellow only: lead course facilitation, manage LR scheduling, onboard incoming residents and organise quarterly cultural and volunteering activities **Key dates:** - Applications close September 18, 2026 - Residencies begin in January 2027 or May 2027, chosen from one application - Leadership Resident term is four to eight months; the Leadership Resident Fellowship is 12 months - A virtual information session was held on September 3, 2026 and has passed **More information:** - The 2027 Leadership Resident two-pager on Harpswell's site sets out the position, the benefits and who should apply - Questions go to lrprogram@harpswell.org
