Girl Plus Environment (GPE), an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) building the leadership of young Black and Brown women, girls, femmes and gender-expansive people in the climate movement, is putting mini-grants of $500 to $2,500 directly into the hands of its members. Twenty member-led community projects across the state of Georgia will be funded, from neighbourhood cleanups and climate education workshops to advocacy campaigns and arts-based environmental activations.
