The Freedom Prize (Prix Liberte) is run by the Normandy Region with the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace in Caen. Each year 24 young people aged 15 to 25 from Normandy, the rest of France and the rest of the world form its international jury, meet for a week in Normandy and choose the three nominees whose fight for freedom goes to a worldwide youth vote. The winner receives 25,000 euros at a ceremony in Caen in June 2027.
