The EU Delegation to the International Organisations in Vienna, part of the European External Action Service, is recruiting young graduates for paid traineeships of up to six months starting in 2027. Trainees join one of four sections covering the UN agencies in Vienna, the OSCE, nuclear non-proliferation and the IAEA, or administration and the Ambassador's office, and work alongside EU diplomats on real multilateral files. **What you get:** - A fixed monthly grant to cover living expenses, set by the EEAS at 1,300 EUR a month for the Vienna delegation under its 2026 table (the amount may be updated before the traineeship starts) - Up to six months inside an EU diplomatic mission to the UN, IAEA and OSCE in Vienna - First-hand experience of how the EU prepares statements, coordinates member states and represents itself in international organisations **What you'll do:** - UN section: support EU work at UNODC, UNIDO, UNOOSA and UNCITRAL on drugs and crime, outer space and industrial development - OSCE section: follow the OSCE's three dimensions of security, attend meetings, and help draft EU statements, notes and reports - Nuclear and Non-Proliferation section: support EU work at the IAEA, CTBTO and on export controls and the NPT - Administrative or Head of Delegation section: protocol, events, finance, archiving and the Delegation's website and social media - Across sections: take notes in meetings, draft briefings and reports, and help with public diplomacy activities **Key dates:** - Vacancy notice published 15 September 2026 - Applications close 30 September 2026 - Traineeships start in the first semester of 2027, earliest March 2027, possibly also the second semester of 2027 **More information:** - Apply by email to Delegation-Vienna-Trainees@eeas.europa.eu with a Europass CV, a cover letter and the Delegation's application form - Email subject must read: Funded Traineeship, Your Name/Acronym of the Section.
