DoSomething, the US youth-action nonprofit founded in 1993, is choosing four young adults for its first-ever DoCrew. It is a paid, year-long, virtual cohort whose members create social content for DoSomething's channels about the causes their generation cares about, each representing one of four cause areas. You do not need a following or production skills; DoSomething says it wants real young people with authentic stories. **What you get:** - $250 every two weeks, less taxes, for completing the agreed responsibilities - Leadership and media training to grow as a storyteller and advocate - One-on-one mentorship and ongoing support from the DoSomething team - A national platform reaching DoSomething's community of 1M+ members - Hands-on experience producing social media, videos, blogs and campaigns - A portfolio of published content and campaign work - A close-knit cohort of four young leaders **What you'll do:** - Represent one of four cause areas: Walk the Walk (equity, justice, economic mobility, belonging, service), No Planet B (climate and environmental justice), Thrive On (mental health, safety, wellbeing) or Be Heard (community voice, democracy, advocacy) - Create roughly one to two pieces of social content each week: short videos, photos, written reflections and social posts - Join monthly virtual check-ins and coaching sessions, and respond to content feedback - Collaborate with DoSomething staff on content and campaigns, with occasional media opportunities and special projects - Commit approximately 15 to 20 hours per month for one year, October 2026 to October 2027 - Attend the virtual orientation on Saturday October 10, 2026, 11am to 3pm ET **Key dates:** - Applications close September 21 or 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific: DoSomething's page states both dates (see notes) - Finalists may be invited to a virtual interview after applications close - Virtual orientation: Saturday October 10, 2026, 11am to 3pm ET - DoCrew term: October 1, 2026 to October 1, 2027 **More information:** - The application is an online form with 8 short answers of 150 words or less, plus a 60 to 90 second phone video on what you do, why it matters and what you hope to inspire others to do - You must log in to a free DoSomething account to start the application on dosomething.org - DoSomething reserves the right to end participation early; submitting an application does not guarantee selection - Questions: Stephanie Palacios, Program Manager, spalacio@dosomething.org
