About this opportunity

We are looking for motivated young professionals with a diaspora background to join our team for a five-month remote internship starting March 2026.

While interns will contribute to different components of EUDiF’s work, such as dialogue activities, capacity development, grants management, and communications, the main focus of this position will be research. The intern will primarily support the update of EUDiF’s Global Mapping on Diaspora Engagement, which showcases country profiles, policies, institutional frameworks, and thematic priorities related to diaspora engagement. Tasks may include desk research, data verification, drafting and updating country factsheets, and supporting analysis for insights. Additionally, each intern will develop an individual content project (e.g. think piece, workshop concept, research note).

Duration: 5 months (starting March 2026) Format: Remote, full‑time (40 hours/week, flexible but core hours 10:00–16:00 CET) Paid Internship — monthly stipend of 1,000 EUR. Scope of Work:

Support update of EUDiF’s Global Mapping on Diaspora Engagement (country profiles, policies, institutional frameworks, thematic priorities)
Tasks include desk research, data verification, drafting and updating country factsheets, supporting analysis for insights
Contribute to other EUDiF components (dialogue, capacity development, grants management, communications)
Develop an individual content project (e.g., think piece, workshop concept, research note) Community: Fellows join the Diaspora Youth Community alumni network for long‑term engagement

Who can apply

Open to diaspora youth — young professionals with a personal migration background or heritage connection to a DG‑INTPA partner country
Post‑graduate stage (Master’s student or graduate)
Strong interest in migration, development, diaspora engagement, and global cooperation
Excellent research and analytical skills, plus strong organisational and communication abilities
Comfortable working in English (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic are strong assets)
Reliable, proactive, able to work independently in a remote environment
Available full‑time for the 5‑month period
Experience with civil society, community initiatives, youth groups, or diaspora organisations is an asset
