Brand South Africa Play Your Part Bursary

Organization: One Young World

Type: Conference

Location: South Africa

Deadline: September 16, 2026

Funding: Fully Funded

One Young World, the global community for young leaders, is running six funded delegate places at its 2026 Summit in Cape Town on behalf of Brand South Africa, the country's official marketing agency. The places go to young South Africans already doing the work in their own communities, giving time, money, skills or goods to something bigger than themselves, which is what Brand South Africa's Play Your Part initiative exists to celebrate. Three of the six are reserved for people based in Cape Town and three are open to applicants anywhere in South Africa. **What you get:** - Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, 3 to 6 November. One Young World prices a first time delegate place at 3,190 pounds without accommodation and 3,850 pounds with it, and its own FAQ says that if you are selected for a scholarship you will not have to pay to attend, so the bursary carries that cost for you. - Travel and accommodation as per requirement. One Young World states that travel and accommodation are not provided for candidates already based in Cape Town. - Catering: dinner on 3 November, and lunch and dinner on 4, 5 and 6 November. - Access to the One Young World Global Leadership Programme and the Action Accelerator. - Lifetime membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community, which One Young World describes as opening mentorship, regional events, speaking slots and funding opportunities. **What you'll do:** - Spend four days at the Summit in keynote sessions, panel discussions and delegate workshops alongside young leaders from more than 190 countries. - Attend the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the evening networking events, which One Young World lists as part of full Summit access. - Represent Play Your Part as one of six South African delegates chosen for their record of active citizenship at home. - Continue afterwards as a One Young World Ambassador, with access to the Community Platform, regional networking and funding opportunities. **Key dates:** - Applications opened 11 August 2026 - Applications close 16 September 2026 - One Young World Summit 2026 runs 3 to 6 November 2026 in Cape Town **More information:** - Brand South Africa's Play Your Part initiative: https://www.brandsouthafrica.com/play-your-part/ - One Young World's guidance on writing a scholarship application: https://www.oneyoungworld.com/how-apply-scholarship - What a delegate place otherwise costs, on One Young World's pricing page: https://www.oneyoungworld.com/pricing
