Art Start runs free, year round creative programming for teenagers and young adults in New York City and Milwaukee. This seven month residency takes 16 to 24 year olds through hands on workshops, community studio time, arts focused field trips and career exploration, and ends with a group exhibition at the organisation's Annual Spring Retrospective. It runs as two cohorts, one for artists aged 16 to 20 and one for artists aged 20 to 24, and is open to artists of all backgrounds and mediums. **What you get:** - A stipend, which Art Start says Emerging Artists are eligible to earn in recognition of their commitment and full participation. The amount is not published - Studio space at Art Start Studios, community studio time, and weekly drop in open studio hours - Hands on workshops, ongoing mentorship, peer critique and arts focused field trips - A place in a group exhibition at Art Start's Annual Spring Retrospective on April 15 - Portfolio development and structured career exploration in the creative industries - Transportation assistance on request - No cost to take part.
