Action Against Hunger, working with The Youth Cafe and the Emergency Nutrition Network as the ALIGN consortium, is funding one partnership of a local civil society organisation and a youth-led organisation in each of 12 African countries. The money helps them expand a community-led adolescent health or nutrition approach they have already shown works, and get it built into national health systems. It is the second pillar of the GFF x CIVIC Platform, funded by the Global Financing Facility and the World Bank Group's CIVIC alliance. **What you get:** - A grant of up to US$214,000 per country partnership for up to 18 months, including overhead of no more than 7 percent - Tailored technical assistance and mentoring, based on a capacity assessment of your organisations - A place in the ALIGN Community of Practice, with peer learning across the 12 countries and a forum for presenting evidence to government, GFF and World Bank stakeholders - Support with evidence generation, costing studies and policy engagement aimed at government adoption of your approach **What you'll do:** - Scale up, adapt or institutionalise a proven adolescent health or nutrition innovation in one of five priority areas: adolescent pregnancy prevention, respectful maternal care for adolescents, adolescent nutrition and food systems, mental health and psychosocial support, or youth-led health system accountability - Involve adolescents, especially girls and marginalised young people, in co-design, delivery, monitoring and governance of the work - Work with government health authorities on a pathway to integrate the approach into national policies, budgets and services - Document results, costs and lessons, and take part in routine reporting and joint learning **Key dates:** - Call released October 6, 2026 - Guidance webinars held October 7 and 8, 2026 (recording available on the ALIGN page) - Answers to clarification questions posted on the ALIGN page October 10, 2026 - Expressions of interest due October 21, 2026 at 5:00 pm EDT - Shortlist announced November 2, 2026 - Full proposals from shortlisted partnerships due November 16, 2026 - Selected sub-grantees announced November 30, 2026 **More information:** - Call for proposals, FAQ and the Expression of Interest template (Word) are on the ALIGN page, which also has a French version - Submit through the upload form on the ALIGN page, or email alignacf@actionagainsthunger.org if the upload fails - Two stages: a five-page expression of interest, then a full proposal of up to 15 pages if shortlisted.
