Africa CDC, the African Union's public health agency, is bringing young Africans to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 21 and 22 November 2026 for its Youth Pre-Conference, the official youth platform of the 5th International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA 2026). Selected delegates spend two days exchanging ideas, showcasing their work and shaping the youth priorities that feed into CPHIA 2026, then stay on for the main conference from 23 to 27 November.   • Aged 18 to 35 at the time of application
  • Citizen of an African Union Member State
  • Enrolled in at least an undergraduate programme, or relevant educational, professional or community experience in public health or related fields (medicine, nursing, community or environmental health, research, digital health, health policy, public service, development, communications, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, social sciences and others)
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to improving health
  • Available to participate fully in YPC 2026 and CPHIA 2026
  • Submit the online form, a CV of at most two pages and your passport biodata page
  • Selection considers gender balance, geographic representation across AU Member States, disability inclusion and representation of marginalised communities
