The Alberta Council for Global Cooperation, a network of Alberta organisations working on sustainable development, names 30 young people each year for their work making the world more just, fair and sustainable. Recipients are chosen by a committee that includes past Top 30 youth, and are profiled publicly and celebrated during International Development Week.   • Plays an active role in making a positive difference and models civic engagement globally and/or locally
  • Has an Alberta connection through one of four routes: lives in Alberta with meaningful connections to it; is affiliated with an ACGC member organisation abroad (that organisation must make the nomination); studies or works outside Alberta but considers Alberta their permanent home; or normally lives outside Alberta but is enrolled in a post-secondary programme in Alberta
  • Willing to have their information and photos published on the Top 30 Under 30 website and social media
  • Easily contactable
  • Only one nomination per candidate is considered
  • Self-nominations and family nominations must include one letter of support and one piece of evidence of impact
