Six books in six years, starting from a fanfiction
Jais Srifam has been writing since she was eight, and in six years has drafted a six book series she hopes to hold in her hands one day.
It started with a Wattpad fanfiction. "It’s probably still out there, since I forgot the account password and can’t delete it," Jais Srifam says. She has been writing since she was eight years old. "But I'm proud of where I was, and how far I've come," she says.
In six years she has "drafted and redrafted and plotted and poured my heart and soul into a six book series that I can call my own." From scribbling in notebooks at eight, she went on to run Tumblr blogs of Jujustu Kaisen fanfiction, and then to developing her own characters and plot, a story she says she truly resonates with.

The six books are, she says, "shards of myself pressed into pages that I hope to one day hold in my hands." She wants to publish the series. Becoming an author is the dream after that.
