Rebuilding classrooms in Tanzania's Nzega District
Clement Komba has established New Life and Charity Organisation to turn broken classrooms in Tanzania's Nzega District into safe learning environments and to remove the poverty barriers that keep kids out of school.
Clement Komba is in Tabora. His work is aimed at Tanzania's Nzega District. He says he sees "brilliant, capable children held back solely by a lack of resources" there, and he is trying, in his words, "to be the bridge that changes that."
He has established New Life and Charity Organisation. He describes what it exists to do in two parts: "transforming broken classrooms into safe learning environments and removing the poverty barriers that keep kids out of school." He is "currently deep in the grant-writing process to fund this infrastructure," he says.

The focus runs across three things: education, access to safe water, and environmental and climate-related needs. The immediate aim is to keep vulnerable children in school, he says, "by supporting them with basic learning materials and creating safer and better learning environments."
The organisation is, in his own description, "still small and newly established", so most of his time goes on building partnerships, developing projects and seeking funding, "to turn these ideas into practical support for communities in Nzega District and beyond."
He is clear about how he wants to go about it. "Meaningful change starts with listening to the needs of local communities and working together to find practical solutions," he says. The goal is to grow the organisation responsibly and reach more children "who have the ability to succeed but need someone to help remove the barriers standing in their way."
